carbed 98 ZX6R & snow

So I just bought this bike (my first bike) about 3 weeks ago. I went out of town and left the bike outside and we got a good amount of snow last night that i didn't expect. I got back today and i cant even turn the key because i guess water is frozen in the ignition. I was wondering if i am going to need to do anything as far as cleaning the carbs or anything because of the snow. Also will the frozen ignition be a problem or just once it warms up it should be fine? i ordered a cover for it but it hasn't got here yet. just bad timing via mother nature.

I've ridden through snow and rain(the rain every year at some point) and have had no problems.

Motorcycles are designed for outdoor use . In fact, many bike failures can be repaired by simply submerging the motorcycle in warm salt water for 24 to 36 hours.

Unless something unusual happened, once your bike thaws out, it should work normally again. If you're really concerned, shoot some WD40 into the ignition switch and put some "dry-gas" treatment in the tank. But I'm sure it'll be fine.

Once it melts off and dries thoroughly you should be fine
