Whats the big deal about doing a cross country trip in the US ? Its not like you are crossing Inner Mongolia or something.Just get on a bike, any bike, and do it ! I did it on a 350 Honda carrying a small back pack and tent.No big deal.Truckers are going back and forth constantly.Too many choices are what distract us from our goals.

I say you get yourself the high scoring GSXR750 and I'll take the lowly Road Glide. We load up the women and gear and ride from Portland, OR to Portland, ME.
Whoever gives up first or gets beaten to a pulp by the woman has to pay for the other guy's bike. I'm game if you are.

My dad rode from Arizona to Florida and back on a YZF600R. He owns a Goldwing now, as well as the YZF.

Get on Rt. 220 or 219 and come south for a few days. Wind your way on down to Boone. Hop on over to Bristol. See the Biltmore. Ride up the Blue Ridge and look down from Mt. Mitchell or Mt. Rogers. Or, just try to find your way to Spruce Knob. I defy you to ever want to return to PA after getting lost for a few days in West Virginia. Have a great bike!
And skip the Dragon, it's been over exposed. You have your own mini-dragon just south of Everett called Rt. 26. |

Cool. Go ahead and get your old girlfriend and we'll see what your wife does to you. You'll never make it out of the driveway.
