2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R, success or blunder?

Hello All,

I have been looking at this motorbike ever since I knew it was being released.
Honestly, the look of the motorbike is incredible, in my personal opinion (and in others ) it is going to rise and come close to challenge the market of suzuki, yamaha and honda, similar to how the 2005 zx636r did.

The slimline feel, 2010 cbr style rear and height of the bike is immaculate and I only wish they made more like this. It looks more and more like the KTM.

One of the print mag writers made an interesting point in a Feb. issue: Manufacturers will "phase in" styling changes by releasing one fairly radical model first, then slowly implementing the new styling into other models once we've become accustomed to it. A good case in point is the RX-9, the protruding front fender blisters were really radical at first, but since it's intro, you see the same feature on the rest of the line, only less pronounced.

The article also pointed out that what is at first very radical and even controversial quickly becomes the norm. His case in point: the KTM RC-8. You see more and more bikes using the once unique and radical styling of the RC as time goes by.
