Default Need More Comfortable Seat for Magna

Hey, let me pick your brains, oh wise ones of the forums. Just got a 1983 Honda Magna v45 750 and love the bike. The only problem is that my wife wants to ride with me and the seat is pretty firm for her. Are there any king/queen seats compatible with the Magna or any other seat options to make this more comfortable for her? Thanks!

Aftermarket seats for a 1983? I doubt it.

However, you can probably take the seat to an auto upholstery shop and have it re-furbished with a new cover and closed-cell foam put in to make it more comfy.

I had a seat rebuilt once from a local guy who does custom seats for bikes as well as full seats for cars and boats. Check your local upholstery shops. Some guys will build a seat just the way you want it. It'll be cheaper and better than any aftermarket seat.

$200-$500+, depending on materials (i.e. some exotic leather) and how picky you are.

copy that. thanks for the info. for a short-term solution, are there seat covers that could go over the seat for a little extra cushion?

Alaskaleathers.com sells a b1tchin' sheepskin cover.

Morbo likes his NY Taxi beaded seatcover.

You can buy an Airhawk (no relation to The_Airhawk), but they are pricey.

If you are South of Pennsylvania, I'd avoid any of the 'gel' seats.

If you're in a warm climate, reconsider the beaded seatcover. It puts air flow between your ass and the seat. Sheepskins are HOT! (And they absorb farts, versus the beaded seat's "Flow-Thru Ventilation" feature).

Thomas Jefferson wrote that the 1st Amendment erected a "wall of separation" between the church and the state (James Madison said it "drew a line," but it is Jefferson's term that sticks with us today). The phrase is commonly thought to mean that the government should not establish, support, or otherwise involve itself in any religion.

Its.......A FACT!

My buddy that rides about 30k miles a year tossed the Airhawk for the Beaded cover and never looked back. Best thing he ever bought, and the guy has a ton of farkles.
