Hi: I'am new to this forum. I hope I do this right.
I have a Honda CB 750K. I am having charging problems. I have put a new battery in, a new stator, brushes. Some one told me it could be the CDI unit. I believe the CDI unit is a 2 part item under the seat and feeds into the coupler on the left side of the bike. Could this be a problem, and how can I test it? Thanks |

I have 79 CB 400 and my CDI is under the fuel tank. Just a little bigger than a deck of cards, metal box with wires coming out of it. Myself, can't see it being the CDI unless it's being shorted. Id check as much wires as possible for a short to the frame while a meter is on the battery, watch meter for movement, wiggle wires.
