Default Magna 83' 750 will not start

I replaced the main fuel hose from the main tank to the reserve. After I replaced the hose the bike would not start, it turns over but does not start. No fuel flow to the carbs. I found the check unit or fuel cut relay hanging under the bike. I moved and leveled the check unit or fuel cut relay the bike started, I could apply the throttle, but after about 2 hours the bike would only idle. Now it will not start at all. How do I by-pass the check unit or fuel cut relay to see if the fuel pump works. (part 20 was hanging under the bike)

check link for part:

Bike is VF750C A (83) JPN VIN# JH2RC071 (use to search parts site)
