In 2000 in Caracas Venezuela I bought a Honda Monkey (so it wasn´t a Cub) for my young son to play with, from a yard sale. It was -73 model and barely run. I took the head off and was expecting a completely worn cylinder (we are talking about a 27 year old moped), but cheez, it was like bloody new, no noticeable wear step on the side of the cylinder, the problem was only the carbon deposite build up in the exhaust. My God, these little miserable put-put engines are bomb proof

Mine wasn't a Cub, but it was a CB??? 50 cc sportbike (I'm too lazy to research the model number).

With a trail sprocket, we had a monopoly on the cactus pear harvest to make the cheapest hooch in south Texas. Damn Government interupted our enterprise by issuing orders that depleted our working staff by sending them to someplace called 'Nam.

Traded my 50 cc for a (more) used 305. A few months later, Uncle Sam said, "You gotta go, boy."

So, I did.

I used to do wheelies on my Honda Cub by reving the engine while I side stepped the gearshift. I enterered an enduro on it. Later, I put a Honda C200(90cc) engine in it. That got me a job as a mechanic in 1966. Finally, I bent the frame downtube doing jumps on it along the river. I had fun on it just like I had fun on all the other bikes I've owned in the last forty plus years.

My very first "bike" (on #78 now)was a new 1964 Cub 50 and I did come close to destroying it...thanx to beinn STOOPID. Burned both valves-who needs adjustments?-and then there was the lack of ANY oil changes..... Despite that and riding at WFO-always; for @ $25 the valves were replaced, new oil in...and away we went! Indeed quite a tuff lil "bike". BTW I still have one that I bought @ 10+ years ago: now has 256 miles on her! DFO

I could be wrong but I doubt they ever raced a NSR 150 in 125 GP... all the 125 GP bikes have been made just for racing, the NSR's were just made as repli-racers but were a long ways off from the actualy 125 GP bikes.

I race a 125 GP bike now and I know the 250 GP bikes and NSR 250's while they look similar aren't the same at all.
