That way the blue staters get to feel superior as we relieve the idiots of all their cash.

Perhaps, but *4* is an unlucky number (and you're referring to the Chinese, NOT Asia as a whole). So an "8" 4-cylinder means you'll have good luck when you're dead..............

I'm not a buell booster but I have to point out to everyone's dismay that this bike's styling cues-- aggressive stance, extreme commitment to mass-centralization, underslung exhaust, stubby tail-- all remind me of Buell.

Uh, yeah............

Mass centralization wasn't "invented" by Eric Buell - but he *DID* put it to good use on a streetbike.

Look closely at the area behind the rear shock - above the swingarm pivot - you'll notice the aluminium petrol tank tucked low in the tail.

A close look at the front wheel reveals that they're testing two different carbon rotors, side-by-side with radial Brembo calipers.

Some other pics I've seen of the bike of the fairings, specifically the ram-air ducting lead me to believe the front-fascia has been constructed as a "quick change" unit - probably they are still developing the final shape with wind-tunnel testing.

No mufflers underneath that bike - merely a big bundle of snakes as the Ti front and rear headers criss-cross beneath the engine - tuned-length exhaust, baby!

Awesome bike.

"the V-4 800 cc is the holy engine configuration."

Honda's been making the V-4 Interceptor for twenty years. Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki have yet to follow suit. Boy, they sure must be dumb.

BTW, don't let the 600 I-4's hear you, you unfaithful slattern.

Did kpaul use $11.94 of his bonus money to buy an MO subscription for an obsequious sock puppet?

Your wife's gonna be pissed. That $11.94 could have bought some doilies for the dinette set.

The guy (I forgot his name already) is behind Rossi because this guy is slower than Rossi. Got that?

Lets not snicker too much about Yamaha´s efforts on the V-4 front. Their VMax had 20 years ago more power, more torq and less weight than VRod today.

And twenty years is an eternity motorbike development. Its almost like a second-a-lap in F1.
