Mladin and Yates better step it up with Ben, Miguel and Jake on the Honda inline 4 and don't forget brother Eric on a Duc 99.

He's got a long way to go before he touches my 58.3 second Laguna lap record on Gran Tourismo 3. |

1. E Bostrom will be competitive with the GSXR-10000 but not with his brothers Honda.
2. In 2005 Ducati will market a V-4 super bike. This bike will then be used in WSB and AMA. 3. After a miserable 2004 season (bad attendance) the WSB modifies rules for the 2005 season: [*] 1000cc limit [*] no restrictior plates [*]all cylinder configuration allowed [*]no weight differentials [*]All tire manufactures will be included |

I hope your prediction on the death of v-twin racing is wrong. I love the sound they produce and there is plenty of room in racing for a v-twin class. As a former auto racing fan, primarily at the local level, it isn't really just about the speed but more about the competition. When everyone abides by the same rules then the racing is determined by driver/rider skill. And that's what we really go to the races to see.

Rule changes might force twins out of racing at the professional level but their power characteristics make their performance more accessible to the average rider. Which makes them great street bikes. Go take a VTR, TL, or SV for a spin, you'll be hooked.

Don't forget that the vast majority of racing is local club type racing.. the kind of racing that anyone can compete in. In this sort of racing bikes like the SV650 are a heck of a good choice. It's a load of fun and relatively inexpensive.
