53 minutes ahead of the #2 motorcycle. Damn. I think if I were that team's manager, I'd be harping on practice for the upcoming year. I wonder how close the rest of the field was to the #2 spot?

Well, ok, looking up a bit, looks like #3 was over an hour behind #2, followed 5 minutes later by #4, and, uh, 3 seconds later by #5. That must suck.

It's a damn shame Kawasaki dropped out after Hamel's death. The decades-old KX500 used to kick the hell out of those XR's.

KX500's ping like they're running on kerosene, turn like a '54 Packard Clipper with flat tires, and have the ergonomics of an oil drum.

Other than that, they're just swell.
