But it is different. The ducting in the plastic is different. The triple tree is different. The guage panel is different. The frame is different and many other little things. This very well could be the new bike.

You've got a choice. If you like the Literclass Hondas you can get a '03 CBR954 for a smokin' 8500 clams. The CBR954 looks a damn sight better than the '04 1K.
Or you can wait and get the 1K for more like $11k. Seems lie a no-brainer to me. But you won't get bragging rights at the Rock Store if you opt for the ancient obsolete WWII era CBR954. Since both bikes are far beyond my capability (and that of 99.999% of riders in gneral) I'd probably go for an early 90's Hurricane that I could get really cheap and be just as fast on. Decisions decisions. I'd better wait and see what the magazines say.

true yamaha has done the two tone often, while the cbr's have usually been a bit more "wild" or stuck with the honda wing or solid's. But the CBR1000F's of old had many two tone model's as well as the original huricane's so it seems lacking to use "a two toned color scheme" as justification for saying they are "copying" yamaha...
Intead of "copying", it would be more acurate to say the big four are usually in "competition" with eachother when it comes to performance and definitly style. And through that competition there have been numerous trends that have been originated and followed by one manufacturer or the other. But to say one is "copying" another because of using a two tone paint job is weak at best. Now if Honda puts out a CBR that is blue with white boxes forming stripes along it's side THEN I would say it was making a copy.... |

it's photoshop. Honda doesn't use Tokico calipers. Plus doesn't the gearshift lever hang down just a little too low for homo sapiens?
