Well, up until this year, my first pick would have been the TL1000S. I loved the look and adored the engine, but it was certainly a handful.
My second choice would have been the Kawa Drifter. It's as poor an impression as Mr. Hashimoto doing his best Frank Sinatra at the local karaoke on a Friday night. |

The ironic thing is that teh Drifter is a better impression than the "real" Indians being sold today...

A fair point, but I'm not sure that the Indians made today were designed to imitate. Maybe they were designed to reinvent but with a respectful nod to the bikes of old.
There's a fine line between influence and plagiarism, and I believe Kawasaki crossed it with the Drifter. |

Yes and no. The Indians today were designed to be a "modern" Indian. However, any true original Indian enthusiast would never buy one since it uses a derivative of a Harley motor-they were just as big of rivals as Harley vs. the Japanese today.

I love the look of Suzuki's GSX1400 but I had to quit drooling all over my keyboard because its just not coming. I am a big Honda fan so my druthers would be to have a Honda. I am currently riding a '99 VFR800 but would dump it in a minute for the CB1300. Somebody please tell the folks in Japan to wake up and smell the coffee, we want "real' muscle bikes!!!
