Hey anyone see the numbers on the 03 vtx1300s? Looks like Honda may have hit the

bulls eye on this one. Plus they actually got the radiator monolith between the frame

down tubes. Nice. A lot to hoot about.

MAYBE, this year Honda will bring something besides just the Gold Wing and the VTX to their demo ride tent. Pretty Damn frustrating to travel that far and not be able to test ride ANY of their other bikes.

Most of the numbers except price and quarter mile times are on Honda's web site. If performance numbers are what you're wanting to know then all I can say is why because it's obviously gonna be slug-slow like every morbidly obese v-twin roadwhale out there.

OTOH if you like it for what it is, yet another nice relaxed big cruiser to ride to your favorite yawning festival, the price should be attractive compared to so-called muscle cruisers like the VTX otherwise why would Honda have even bothered with building it. If it comes out under $10K I agree it'll be a such a big hit they may be shooting themselves in the foot.

Man, I bet that was a pain. Seems a bit presumptuous to only bring the two models they want you to try. They did the same thing at Americade in Lake George, NY. With a name like "intruderman" and "luvmySV650S" I can't imagine what bike you wanted to ride.

Ducati had every model except the mono's.

Harley/Buell had Sporties to Ultras. M2 to S3T.

BMW had mostly the 1200C/RT/LT group.

YamaKawaZuki had a mix of sporty/sport touring models as well as the touring mounts.

But Honda??? Wings and VTXs. That's it.

The test rides are one the reasons I go to these things. To ride different makes, models & styles of bikes in similar riding conditions.
