Isn't there a repair shop nearby that can cure what ails ya with some creative ingenuity?

A fiberglas muffler bandage will last about a day before a hole burns through it, unless you can wrap a piece of metal around the gap first, to keep the fiberglas from having direct contact with the exhaust gases.

I've used it for a pipe joint leak before. It worked well enough

Default Fixes every exhaust problem known to man

Fiberglass + tin cans + coat hangers. Re-apply whenever they fall off.
