It's seamless. There are 2 counter balancers on the crank that are gear driven. This thing's smooth as silk. I did 614 miles yesterday across California, Nevada, and Utah in less than 8 hours, and felt like I could keep going when I stopped.
As an aside, I had 1 day from Phoenix to Needles (Sonoran-Mojave desert) and never got warm from the engine. Heat management on this bike is great...the rad really sheds the heat. The fan blows strong, but it doesn't really blow on you. I understand larger I-4's have this problem, but not this one. I'm in Colorado. --Foxy
