Rubbing alcohol also works get the grips on instead of gasoline.

As an absolute last resort (like when I used the 220+ degree slow-setting epoxy recommended by the heated grip manufacturer and so was quite desperate) you can always remove the bars and roast the grip with a propane torch.
No, I'm not kidding. And it uses less gas than you might think, once the grip is aflame and burning on its own. Of course: ventilate well, have a fire bottle nearby, etc. |
