You have to try it all on.

I'm a non perf guy, but really it depends on climate. I'm touring in my new 2 piece Alpinestars right now, and I'm quite comfy.

I like a short jacket, so for a me a pant jacket combo is ideal. Saves a little cash when you just want to ride in a jacket. That, and they don't make a one piece for my height and thinness. Really, you just have to try it on and see what works - it's all personal preference. I like a tight "race fit" and Alpinestars is great for me; Frank Thomas is good for more "American" bodies and is reasonably priced. Joe Rocket fit fatties too. (yeah, I went there. Hah!). Remember that kangaroo leather doesn't stretch like moo leather does, if you go that route.

Oh, and buy new. Have you seen how much you sweat in leather? Plus, used will already have been stretched, and will never fit as well.

So I'm in Rolla, and I pass Interstate Motorcycles on Rt. 66. I decide to turn around and go in to look, and the owner forces me to test ride a Moto Guzzi Breva 1100. 20 mile test, and gives me a free T-shirt too. Unreal. If you need an Enfield, Moto Guzzi, or Hyosung (interesting dealer huh?) stop in. Great helmet selection and protective gear too. Bill's the man.
