Default Re: VFR or ZX-14?

I went to party at my friend's (now girlfriend's) house, and would up playing drinking games within 20 minutes of getting there with 4 other girls. I'm like 26, they're all 20-21, good times. I'm not there for 20 minutes before the cute one slams her cards on the table, jumps up, points at a different girl and yells, "You F'ing C!!!!!" at the top of her lungs. I was dumbfounded.

"Did you just drop the C-bomb?!", I ask, incredlously.

"That's like Mary's favorite word," was the reply. I felt like I just stepped into the twilight zone.

Bah. You can look all over the internet, or ask anyone you know. This is BS. Even on Fark.com people agree it's BS. I'm almost positive that's a sign on the impending apocalypse.

I own an '06 VFR, and am considering the ZX-14 too. I think the VFR is great, but do you like V-4's or prefer inline motors. They feel, sound and behave differently. I've had over 20 sport bikes, and all but two (the VFR and 20 years ago, a Yamaha Vision) were inline 4's. I now realize my preference is a sporting inline motor.

Insurance was radically different on the two bikes though. If you're getting comp and collision, definitely get quotes on both. The VFR is MUCH cheaper. Not sure about relative maintenance on the two. Others on this board may have a view.

Finally even though the ZX-14 has gobs of power, it's probably more comfortable to tour on a bike with such great ergonomics and power. God it's ugly though. Maybe wait for cosmetics changes in next year's model? The VFR looks much better if you remove the passenger handles and put the seat cowling on.

Nope, my heart is not polluted with that *****. This is not about Al and Jesse. It might be a surprise to you, but most Black people don't need to led around by them. We are a bit more complex than that. Imus just got caught in a bad wind is all....Had he picked on a group of deserving ho's, hey no sweat.

Strongly agree with "1000 v-strom(with a few mods) is a great commuter/sport/all-around bike". Also they are cheap.

If you like v-twins, you might consider the Ducati ST-3. Kinda splits the difference on power/displacement, and you can get pretty good looking luggage for it.

I'm a bit surprised no one else has mentioned it.

Thanks for the input MOrons - most of it was actually pointed, relavent, and thought out. I'm as surprised as anyone...

I hadn't considered the Tiger, but it's a great looking bike with all the capabilities I want. The only downside is the gearbox which I've read to be clunky, but I'd have to ride it for myself to know for sure.
