No wait,...... uh,.....
Nevermind. Forget I said anything, I've got Eddie Griffin on the brain.

I appreciate all the helpful replies, but when I wrote "enclosed" I really meant it. A trailer works for lots of people but it's not what I want, and although I wasn't specific I'd like to find a smallish vehicle that'd be too light to hang a bumper hitch mount w/bike on the back. I'll probably end up with a small pickup, but when I had one in the past I worried about someone stealing my aluminum ramp and 2x10 plank I used to walk up when I loaded/unloaded it. I keep reading articles about some new (small) SUVs that have removable seats, so I was hoping that someone had used one that a bike could fit in. I guess I can measure an Element and find out if the right front seat can be removed - if a cbr954 fit but a trials bike was hard to load I guess handlebar width is a bigger problem than I'd thought.
I used to tow my Rickman Weslake behind my MGB by mounting the fork legs to eyebolts I welded to the rear bumper, but it wasn't a very optimum solution. Just like then I want to have one car that gets reasonable mileage and can haul a bike occasionally. I'll keep looking, or maybe rent a pickup when I need to. |

Last time I rode it, it went off a 50 foot cliff, leaving me at the top, thankfully!

Nick Mantzoros stuffed his Sherco Trials bike in his trunk, and drove 2300 miles from PA to Las Vegas to make to main in last year's Endurocross.

I actually bought my element to put my trials bike in, but I got lazy I guess... maybe I should try it from the front, I've not tried removing the passenger seat yet, but it's got a pretty wide door if that's removed...
