It doesn't comfort me any. I'm thinking of changing sides on this one. Get a Gixxer dude! It's comfy!

And I can tell you that having five in the garage is even better, especially since I can ride the Valk any time I like and I don't have to pay anything for it.

Had my first date with a nice girl that later became my wife on a yzf600r. I take that bike over a viffer any day and save a ton of dough in the process. She said that bike was much more comfortable than the z750s I had for a year. Of course she says the vstrom I have now is by far the most comfortable of all. She took one look at the gsx-r600 I got for the track last year and said no way.

Best answer yet. I was on the way to the end of the thread to post 1980 Suzuki GS1000, 1983 Honda Interceptor, Honda CBR1000 and Yamaha FJ1200. You'll probably be able to tell just by looking at the thing whether it's been lovingly cared for by the dentist who owned it or dogged by a hooligan.

-Well, it's good that you settled down and stopped paying for it. That can get expensive...plus all of those diseases.

The first Gen FZ1 fits the bill for me. The first Gen was from 2001 to 2005. You may still be able to find a new leftover 2005, but they're becoming hard to find. Factory seat was ok, but Corbin was better & has the ability for a passenger backrest. Though not technically a sport bike, any bike that does the quarter in the mid to upper 10's is no slouch. Great support and information for the bike can be found on the Yamaha FZ1 Owner's Association (http://www.yamahafz1oa.com).

Dunno, I'm in Maine. ;-)

And yes, it is. We got hit with Gore Effect.

He needs to get a trails bike for awhile. After that a Gixxer seat will seem pretty plush.

DAMNIT, that's right.

Yeah, we got hit with about 6 inches of Gorebal Warming last weekend.

It is supposed to get into the 60s this weekend, though.

When does it start stay above 50 over there?

I suggest the Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom. I had cruisers before my V-Strom and went from liking to ride to wanting to ride. I now have a BMW R1150RT and, while comfortable, it isn't the same. If Suzuki made the V-Strom in yellow again, I think I'd buy another.
