I totally agree.

I only wear leather for sport riding.

I have J. Rocket summer jacket/pants combo, for real hot weather../

but I hope I never go down with them on!!

I can't seem to get past the "garbage man/janitor" look of the cordura nylon suits.

my two cents.,

It seems that some people are talking about leathers, but the Tour Master is nylon. Nylon may be comfortable, but I wouldn't trust it in a fall. Not because it can't be strong enough, but because it's much more likely to catch on the pavement and send you tumbling. When you fall it's best to just slide - even though it may wear through your leathers. If you tumble you're likely to break things - like your neck.

Default kjester

Like Buz said when somebody said they wore their stitch suit into a Harley dealership and got no service Buz said "They probably thought you were there to clean the restrooms" classic kjester (Buz)

Default Get the 'stich

I have the 'stich, a Y2K VFR, an SV650 track toy, and access to the GF's WeeStrom650 (which is a much better tourer than a crapped-out Connie).

GET THE STICH!

That's what I did for awhile, a Ballistic 4.0 jacket and the Darien pants, it works just fine but I wanted the HiViz coat to match so I bought one for my B-day

I had a JR Ballistic jacket and armored leather pants when I had my '97 VFR (not one of those gaywad new ones with a cam chain and weird harold valve gear)

If I had my 'Stitch back then I probably would have got a BMW instead of my first Bandito Grande`

The Aerostitch has a lot going for it in our winter enviroment, First off is the HiViz and reflectors. In our sh*t weather, IE fog/drizzle, 40* and heavy traffic at O-Dark-30 you need to be seen, next it's warm and waterproof, finally, and I don't mean any offence, but it's made for people our size. Not Asians, then made bigger. On the 'Stitch the armor lands in the right place and fits well, the spine pad covers the area it's supposed to cover, ditto for the shoulders and knees.

The Darien is the first riding suit I've ever owned that once broke in became invisible...by that I mean I can't tell it's on me. It's so comfortable and fits so well that it's like wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I have a hard time finding things to fit me because I'm built like a brick sh*t house... fairly stout, 6 ft-300lbs with a beer gut. It's hard to find things that fit across my shoulders and arms that aren't way too big everywhere else, toss in a beer gut and narrow waist and 99% of off the rack sh*t don't work. The Darien is loose where it needs to be and tigh where it needs to be., my only complaint is I wish the neck tightened up a bit more, but that'd only and issue when it's below 30* and I don't usually ride much in that.

I don't mean to sound like a poster boy but I've been doing this for 40 years and this is the best riding gear I've ever owned, worth every penny
