"...Bar", excellent idea. I like it. No, I love it.

Saw your comments earlier on direct msgs from idiots. I'm up to two death threats from other MOrons.

Given your handle, I'd be shocked - and concerned - if you had any. Both mine came from Euro types. Nyuck!

The legend about the difficulty of adjusting Ducati valves is just that, a legend. There are materials out there to guide you through it, both printed and in video. The two valve heads are no problem for the mechanically inclined. They are much easier to deal with on the Monster series than on something like a VFR 800. My last choice of bike came down to a Buell or a Ducati. I bought the Buell. My next bike will probably be another Ducati. Both are mondo fun. If you dig the duck, buy it. Have the dealer do the first adjustment to keep the warranty alive. Do the rest yourself. If you're nervous, make the dealer show you how as a condition of the sale. Trust me, it ain't that hard.

Wow, And I was concerned about Buell's (HD's, really) $375 services... I thought that was the biggest rip-off possible!

I own an S2R 1000 Monster and I love it. I have had no reliability issues with any of my Ducatis (6). Maintenance costs are not much more than other manufacturers and the riding experience (and the sound) can't be beat. Buy the Monster, you won't regret it!

Need any more? I only ask, as I've a few sitting on my workbench in the garage. Gimme your home address, and I'll box 'em up and send 'em to you...............
