I agree with the folks who suggested the Suzuki Vstrom, except with the higher speed riding you do, the DL1000 would probably be a better choice. I know you said no litre bike, but really this litre bike doesn't compare to the GSXR 1000 or other litre supersports.

Hey your commute isn't too long, so fairing doesn't seem that important.

Remember its a lot more fun to ride a slow bike fast than fast bike slow.

Have you thought about a classic clone like a Triumph Thruxton.

Beautiful bike, not too poweful but enough to get the blood up.

Default A pattern

Right. Where did you get those stopping distance numbers that said cruisers are better? Every other board I have been on says it's bogus that sportbike doesn't haved better brakes than a cruiser. Let me guess MCN, didn't Freddy work at MCN? MCN was also the source of the the alleged quote from the Fed guy saying bikers were a menance.. See the pattern...

Two pieces of advice

Stop watching Fox News

and stop reading MCN...

Sorry I think Howard Cosell is channeling through me..

How many miles do you have on your Buell? Any reliability problems? How much does maintenance cost? After mscuddy had his problems with his Buell I put my plan to by a Buell on the back burner...

I took a test ride on one at Daytona this year. I don't think I could ever get used to the shaking. It looks kind of funny with the rubber-mounted turn signals flailing about. I like the idea of buying American though, and if they ever put a 90-degree, water-cooled mill in one, sign me up.

Keep your GSXR750.

Recalibrate your speedometer to Mph instead of Kph.

Failing that, get therapy.
