Heh. I hate when that happens, if only because I get tired of shopping and just jump in the deep end. It's hard to do when your mind gets made up for you...
There's "too good to be true" deals everywhere these days. Take your time! |

I hadn't noticed that my Buell was slow revving, and it's the long-stroke 1200. The 9's the one that rev's high, of course. What I have noticed is that when I get off my GL1000 and get on the Buell, I downshift too much. Just like everyone says, it's got the torque, leave it in the gear you picked and ride. Also: XBs (12's, at least) already have 80-85 rwhp... and no Triumph is going to sound like a Norton without a different crankshaft. The timing of the firing order is different, IIRC.
Having said all that: if I bought any of the new Trumpets, it'd be a Thruxton. They got SOUL. |

"I have beenadvocating the "no helmet no meidcal payments" approach for years."
Then obviously you would have no argument to make against the "ride a motorcycle, no medical payments" approach. After all, riding with a helmet is more dangerous than not riding at all - and the difference is far greater than helmeted-vs-unhelmeted riding. "Flame away, it's my OPINION, fool. No mater what you say it won't change. " Opinions that ill-thought-out generally cannot be changed.

No doubt the best way to decide on ANY bike is to take a test ride and not listen to us MOrons -- except if we have particularly bad things to say about a bike. Of course, if the seller won't let you ride it, don't buy it without at least hearing the bike run and at sitting on the damn thang.
Don't forget to check out a Moto Guzzi Breva & Griso (both way sexy sounding, looking and flickable) or a Buell Ulysses (uber coolness -- took at test ride at the AMA races recently). |
