![]() So spending $16,000+ is less expensive than spending $10K or less?

![]() Belts are way better than chains!!... Belts are cleaner than chains. I myself have a triumph sprint - did 78,800km on the original chain. Then cops where I live (Aust) tried to use HD's but kept shreading the belts!! - go figure.

![]() Yep, in same way a $500K house is a better investment than your $29,995.49 trailer home ...

![]() I applaud your driving habits. I have a Triumph Speed 4 with 16k miles on it and am looking to buy a new chain and sprockets!! Go figure.

![]() BTW. Why do you keep crowing about sportbike brakes? If you check out the performance grid for braking that various publications print you will find that many cruisers stop in just as short distances as sportbikes. In fact the Ksaki Mean Streak stops in less distance than you ZX-6R.
Here. So much for the "price/performance ratio", whatever the heck that is.

![]() Please don't take this the wrong way, but sport bikes are for boys whose balls haven't descended.

![]() Pretty good advice and exactly what I do. I just like the bike, I've been ridng for too many years to care about a "biker Image" or any other nonsense or to give a flying ***** what anybody else rides. I got the Superglide because I've always liked the look and Twin Cam Dynas are excellent bikes and at $12.5k otd a pretty good deal. I actually do own two Harley t shirts, one the dealership gave me when I bought the bike and the other they gave me for my birthday. Try getting that kind of treatment from any other brand dealership.
Combine that with the staggering amount of factory and aftermarket support that allows you to set the bike up anyway you want, and the various HOG chapters and dealership parties and ride-outs and it's a pretty tight deal. Personaly I use the bike for day to day transportation and I'm not interested in hanging out with a bunch of people so I don't play that game, but it's there if you want it. The only other brand I've seen with the same level of comitment is Triumph with the RAT packs and raids and dealer parties though that's not as wide spread. Like fenton said, buy the bike you want, wear good protective gear instead of a stupid beanie and t-shirt and ride the wheels off it. |
