I did a 450 mile day on my Superhawk yesterday. Corbin seat, EBC pads, otherwise stock. 141 miles is the furthest I' ve gone before refueling, best fuel economy was about 40 MPG. I did ride 700+ miles in a day last Fall, but my knees don't like that anymore.

Maybe I'm not 'quite' your age, but almost... the Buell Cityx looks amazing to me. Comfortable, ballsy, flickable and the MILEAGE! 65mpg highway according to Eric. If it only had optional hard bags and an adult size windshield I'd be in love. Ride one (if you have a 32" inseam or better) and you will like it. Plus, not a cookie cutter piece of rolling jewellery.

Hallelujah! Somebody gets it!

The most important piece of info that nobody gives when they ask for a bike recommendation is what kind of roads they ride.

A good bike for New England is often a lousy bike for Kansas.

I've reconsidered my above post and I may have been a little harsh. I am reminded that Honda offers the Big Ruckus, a fine enthusiast's machine.

I concur. Thinking of yourself as old becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy. It happens soon enough as it is.

You guys are all forgetting the most fun bike of all the TL 1000 R or S I have the S and with a few mods (shock fork springs pipes etc) it's the most fun bike I've ever ridden .Also with a full exhaust you just can't beat the sound.

I seem to remember quite a few years back that the Superhawk was my bike of choice in a sportbike.I know how good the Honda products are because I've owned a few of them.I seem to remember an old SPEED VISION commercial with a cop sitting on the bike on the side of the road pretending he was riding in a race.Anyways I do love the V twin bikes.I loved the Superhawk when I rode it on a Honda ride and now it's back again and it seems a great deal.I will know much better after a bit more looking.Like I said before there is a manufacturer show comming up in Toronto at the first weekend of December so that will give me a chance to try out a few of these bikes at least sit and check the ergonomics of the ride.I do believe what was said earlier in this thread that the desision has to be based on a bit of passion. If you don't have passion for your ride then it's just another bike.As for riding the Harley I had my fun with the Harley line up and now it's time to move on to something different.Like they say variety is the spice of life.
