Default Re: Extended Warranty on a Used Bike?

That "you have until Friday" or "it cannot be offered again" is total b.s. I found out when I bought a car that you could buy the extended warranty for a long time after the purchase. $800 is a lot for an engine that is not extreme and is not going to be used for screaming runs at the track. I met a guy at a local Suzuki dealer who commutes 100 miles a day and had something like 138,000 miles on his Suzuki V-twin cruiser. He said he has had very few problems: changes the oil (synthetic) and does normal maintenance. Learn to fix the bike yourself. You buy a lot of self-repairs with $800...

Default Extended Warranty on a New Bike?

What about a factory extended warranty on a new R1? Would that be valuable, especially if you knew you were gonna drive the hell out of it. You know, drive it like a racing machine.
