Are you sure it was _your_ Microbus? I'm not saying you were high or anything. Just that, you know, a lot of people that have Microbuses tend to take them to Phish concerts and such, if you catch my drift.
I'm just sayin'.

Yeah, my "66 Baja Bug was set up like that. It had the single-relief case, and somehow I stuck a dog-house oil cooler set up off a dual-relief case and it worked fine. (People say you can't do that.) It was a 1600 single-port, with a PICT 30 carb. 009 Bosch, Tri-Mill exhaust.
Had the big 12 volt clutch. It ran so good with that oil cooler, you could be full-throttle for an hour on the freeway, get off, and the dip stick would be cool to the touch. Sweet little motor. Yes, once in Hollwood, someone stole my '53 Cushman Pacemaker. A real deviant.

Cool, I had a '69 Square Back in Oceana; use to do the same thing with it.
It was a hand-me-down squid mobile, I got it off some 2nd class who was getting out of the Nav for $300.00. The no. 3 cylinder studs were stripped out, and after driving it for a while, finally all the studs stripped out, and it was a one-cylinder Volkswagen. Full of squids, *****s and beer, it would take about 3 minutes to go from zero to sixty. Finally blew up next to Pier 9, in Norfolk. Left it there. I'm surprised they didn't ticket me for illegal dumping.

With my generation, it would have been a Dead concert. It did have a crude rendition of Mr. Natural, in beige house paint, plastered on the side. Maybe the 'Natch did it?

Ha ha. Why didn't you just paint "Officer, please search my bus" on it?
