True but Gas-Ca-cinch is getting hard to find.

The Knuckles used a positive crankcase pressure scavenging system so leaks are inevitable. I've never seen a Knuckle that didn't leak some, even after a careful rebuild. We'll see how good LR is at this.

Gasgacinch is easy to find. V-Twin, J&P and most indy dealers sell it. The reason Knucks leak is the weird design of the top end, and not the scavenge system. I will go over all that. My motor and trans is done and look f&cking fantastic. I will post up a story soon with pictures. Will the Knuck leak? Probably, and I know where it will start for sure. I doubt it will leak much, because I used some tricks that will help a ton. Stay tuned.

Well, if you can keep a Knuck from leaking you're a better man than I.

On second thought I'll just admit you're a better man than I and save the interminable arguing.

There should be a supply, return and vent from the oil pump to the oil bag, then a supply return and vent from the primary, then a rear chain oiler as I recall. The primary vent is probably what was supposed to go on that T..then into the oil bag

we're talking about the yellow gaskatcinch in the red and white can and the fairy on it right? That stuff works great..

I never worked on a Knucklehead, just Panheads, Shovelheads and Sporties. I knew a guy had a 80inch Flattie and another guy had a Knuck but it was always a pretty strong runner so he never had to f'k with it.

That's the stuff. Red and white can with the girl on it. I've been through 3 or 4 of those babies.

All the lines are hooked up. I have the rear chain oiler turned off, which you can do, because of this vent hose that runs free. I figured I might as well use the blowoff from it to oil the chain.

I assume by the "oil bag" you mean the tank.

Yes, oil tank. I'm sorry, I thought you said you had an open T with a vent running to the rear chain. I'd hook the vent to the open end of the T and use the rear chain oiler the supply return and vent set up is supposed to be a closed system, it'll run better that way.

I'll have to look at my diagram to see what's not hooked up right. Maybe by the time this is all over I'll be a real bike mechanic!

I had an '80 FLHP, I remember what a rat nest the oil lines were on it, good luck.
