Sounds like Jen has a bunch of romantic evenings in store for her!

Actually, if I had had a 'rebuild' done and the engine leaked worse than ever I think I'd be taking the engine to someone competent to be done again. If the 'rebuilder' was too incompetent to seal the engine properly God knows what else he screwed up internally. Shovels are pretty easy to do. Screwing one up takes special dedication. 'Course I wouldn't have this problem in the first place because I don't trust anyone else to rebuild my engines. I've seen far too many engines (car and motorcycle) puke their internals after someone's 'rebuild'.

You hit that nail. Learning to maintain and rebuild bikes takes a while, but the reward is a job done right.

What, like that ever mattered? C'mon, the minute they're in the door the list of old stuff you can't do anymore and new stuff you gotta do comes out.

Well Ken you gotta understand. Dear Jen let it slip that our beloved longride takes service manuals to bed in the evening.

And what, pray tell, is wrong with that?

Guilty as charged! I'm a motorcycle nut. I'm either riding, working on em, or reading about em. I hope to be a GMP some day.
