I'm sorta surprised no one has done a FLHT/waterhead project, at least to my knowledge.

Take an older dresser, put a V-Rod motor in it. Couldn't be that hard.

Of course, it'd be of little benefit. The V-Rod motor is kinda ugly, and I don't think the road manners of the bike would change appreciably.

My local dealer has 2 of those V-Rod "Street Rods" leftover on his floor. They didn't sell, either.

The Harley demographic doesn't like footpegs in the right place.

Actually Downtown Harley Davidson in Tukwila built one a few years ago, they fabbed and mounted a Road Glide fairing, seat, bags and trunk to a standard V-Rod. Looked excellent, certainly something I'd be interested in specially with B-BAR's global cooling article

Anyone can build a bagger out of a V-Rod. There are parts kits that will do it. Only trouble is that you have a kit bagger, not a real one. They look nice, but two-up touring would suck.
