Word on the street has it that Harley is going to be introducing a new model for their 08 lineup in a couple of weeks. It is said that it will be marketed to a younger audience. Anyone want to guess as to what it might look like and what engine they may put in it?

Just like the prototype, with adjustable suspension bits, and a Buell motor. With EFI.
Now the wish list... a 6 speed with a slipper clutch. Rob

I'd like to see something along the lines of the XLCR they made back in the 70's. Use a Buell motor, and a six-speed with a bike that is slightly bigger and a cafe style.

With the positive response that they recieved from the concept bike, I can imagine them NOT building it. We will see.

They did get lots of positive press on the new XR 1200. I'm just wondering if this might be something completely different. I was just at Harley HQ, and they were really tight-lipped about what it is they are bringing to market. I think it will be here in 2 weeks, so it won't be long.

I thought the Twin Cam is older than the patent date- by about five years?

Ah, I read the patent and it only appears to cover some work HD did fitting engines to transmissions.

Hopefully it's along the lines of the Euro only XR1200.
