Hi, Don't flame me too bad for this, I just can't afford the over priced EVO drivetrains.
Is there a adapter of kit or mod to use a Yamaha Roadstar/Warrior series engine/trans in an EVO frame? Thanks. |

A welding torch would be your basic "adapter kit".

It's probably doable, but you'd end up with a bike that's basically worthless.

Do you mean EVO as in 'Evolution', as in Harley Davidson, 1984 - 1999(ish)?
If so, you'd spend a LOT of time and money, and end up with a WTF!? bike, as pplasm said.

I'd bet you can find a used Evo setup for under a grand. I've seen them out there. Shop around a bit.

DOH!
But you have a good HD frame and a good Yam motor, list both for sale, whichever sells first would determine which direction I'd go.

I changed a Briggs & Stratton for a Tecumseh engine on a mini-bike once. Had to drill new holes in the motor mount plate and get a new throttle cable. His job should be about the same. He should go with the galvanized pipe muffler setup with the 90 degree bend I used. I had it angled up like the Capt'n America bike. *****in!

If you wanted comedy, you should have seen Buz try to start it! The Knuck is coming along quite nicely. Frame and sheet metal are at the painter now, and final assembly will start very soon. It looks bytchin too!
