Default So if he loses

it's because the bike broke and it's his fault because he rode an inferior bike, but if he wins it's because all the other bikes broke, but they're not inferior and it's just bad luck for those riders. True or not, that's hypocritical. We all know harley's not really in the game, but a podium is a podium, excuses aren't racing. Any podium he gets is as much of an acclompishment as anyone else's podium would be.

Default It's two parts..

Sorry to confuse you on that one. Now put the bong down and move away from it. The third sentence read that if he makes the podium, he's a hero, and everyone agrees that HD sucks. What I should have said was that if he makes a podium it was because alot of bikes broke in front of him and that I agreed with the last part of the sentence. The part about HD sucking. Better now ?

You said it yourself. He would get a podium because alot of other bikes in the race either crashed or broke and that's bad luck for those riders. Anyone else's podium they get would be because they ran up front for the entire race not because half of the field blew up or crashed. Yeah, HD is fielding an inferior bike and luck would be what gets them on the podium, not rider skill or superior equipment. It's not just bikes blowing up, it's crashes too at Daytona. It's not a perfect world ya' know.

we know the bike is inferior, but any podium on an inferior bike is definitely rider skill, if not more so than with a superior bike. If what you say is true, then if HD did design a competitive bike and got a championship, that would just be lots of really really consistently bad luck for everyone else, and a lot of it.
