D'OH!!!

I'm an Idiot. You're absolutely right.

Truth be told, I just looked at the post and didn't even see that you were the one that made it - I just saw the GL1100 comment and put two and two together and arrived at seven.

You are smart and fortunate to marry someone that works.. I pay all the bills.. I put her through school too.. Hopefully she will lighten up when she takes the MSF class. Also I hope she will get some initiative to go get a job.

Why should she? Easier to spend your money than earn her own.

You need to get control of this situation. Now. Watch how much initiative she gets when you yank the Nordstrom's card.

Sack up, man. Seriously. You're a cut above a slave. Never let a woman exploit you like that.

Easy for you to say. Wait until she gets pregnant and quits her job.

Default Woman vs. Motorcycle.

You're right Yep I think it's coming to that.. She whinned to marriage counselor we had nothing in common anymore so the counselor asked my wife to see if she couldn't do something that I liked and vice versa. So this whole MSF thing is that.. I did my thing. I was pulling longride's leg the other day when I said my wife had an MO account.. Yep khacker is right when they get pregnant you are kind of screwed especially with the West Coast divorce laws. If she quits her job like my wife did and raises the kids... you're screwed. i.e. cheaper to the keep her. But my youngest is 16 and my buddy just got a divorce in a smiliar situation and the judge said to the wife you got two years to get your act together.. So I could deal with that.. if it comes to that.. Specially since I already put her through school. i.e the judge would say go use your degree..

Woman vs. Motorcycle.. I take the bike now every time..and a good dog

Hell, she's told me more than once that she'd rather I quit and take care of the (hypothetical) little nipper. Which would be A-OK with me - househusband sounds like a primo gig.

Of course, all bets are off once their Mommy hormones kick in.

Would anybody care to comment on the H-D math?

Around here, those "Rider's Edge" learning sessions run about $300 per student which must be paid whether a prospective rider graduates, or not.

$300 X 100,000 = Thirty Million dollars.

That's a nice chunka cheese, even factoring in things like insurance and actual training and administrative costs. And especially considering that H-D wasn't going to sell very many of those Blasts, anyway.

Seriously, does H-D offer discounts to the new graduates? Or, at least, promote the Blast as an alternative beginner's bike?

And why is the new rider course failure rate so low? Superior training skills? Student motivation?
