Not a bit. It *would* be disturbing if they formed the shape of, say, Michigan.

As a owner of a few John Deere tractors, it's almost painful to use the tractor metaphor, but there's just not much better way to describe them... John Deere machines are infinitely more high tech in comparison to Hardly Dangerouson's.

Default Re: Better than this?

I've owned a Victory (2001 Sport Cruiser). I've logged many miles on the Vegas family of bikes. I even sell Victorys (part time at a friend of mine's shop). So.....

As mentioned the proportions/styling are in the eye of the beholder.

Better engine? Than the 1200? Probably. Than the new 96ci? Very close.

Better ride? Not for me. I hate the Victory riding position.

Better brakes? Than the Nightster? Possibly/probably.

Better value? Doubtful. There's lots of 06 8-Balls out there selling for up to 2K BELOW retail. Many of the dealers I know of are balking at loading up on 07's.

I can get a Victory for close to cost. I've owned one. I've ridden the new ones, a lot. I REALLY want to like them. But I don't.

I own a 2007 FXDI.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the cruiser geometry lesson. Little did I know there was a huge difference... I rode a Sportster and a Shadow.. I guess I thought the Shadow handled better. But I'll take your word on the Victory. Just to save face here I was talking about the black outed frame thing, that Buz seem to think HD created.. Seems to me the that flat black frames have been around even on better looking Harley's (my favorite HD)

You were doing so well until the ashtray comment Racer Boy

Actually, the Vegas, on which the 8-ball is based, was targeted DIRECTLY at the Softtail Deuce (read that as "copied"). MCN (US) even compared them head to head a few years ago.

I was talking about the black out frame thing.. So far Yamaha and Victory may have done it sooner than HD.. Buz says it has to be flat black now.. Not ever creative idea in cruiserville came from Harley did it?

Any Buell or HD thing is going to generate this. HD is like Hilliary a polarizing thing. But as you recall some of my posts have generated these numbers even faster. Without my help.
