No, this is not normal. I am 49, and am looking at the new R1. Fight the dark side, Luke!

You have to fight it. I just turned 50 and bought a Yamaha YZ250 2-stroke. That is the wildest thing I have ever ridden.

Sort of reads like one of those tabloid stories: "Devil Worshiper turns Holy Roller!".

The only bad sign I see is the fact that you seem to give a flying frack what any of us think.

You want a Harley? That is a sure sign of low self-esteem. Remember that no normal person on earth rides, or wants, a Harley. Something is wrong with every one of those people. The best and smartest guys in the whole wide world ride metric cruisers and old ZX-6's. Get one of those, so you can be like those guys. On second thought, I can't think of a better reason to get a Harley.

LOL, I'm going the total other direction. I'm 42 and I'm about to sell my touring Harley (Road King) and buy a Ducati ST3.
Which one of us is regressing? |

For about a year, I had my 77 FXS and an 02 Honda VFR in the garage together. That was the best, like having a hot little blonde that came over on weekdays and then the tall brunette with the leather lingere for the weekends. My advice: keep the Duck for the sporting occasions and get the Dyna for the cruising. BTW, the chicks who dig guys our age tend to prefer the HDs...if that's of interest to you. That's NOT why I still have the HD and not the Honda!

If you aren't careful HD will use the evil dark omnipotent power it uses to control all helmet and motorcycle laws and well heck, HD controls the entire world! They'll turn you into their form of an Arkancide... a Harleycide!
Never underestimate to power of Harley. People only think that the wars in places like Iraq and Somalia have anything to do with al-Qaeda or spreading democracy or any of the other subterfuges. Only idiots believe that the problems between Belarus and Russia deal with oil. Oh no. It's all about HD's continued campaign of world domination through it's puppets and running dogs like Putin, Bin Laden and *gasp* the most evil puppet in history... GWB!
