I am so disinterested in this motorcycle, I have nothing to say.

As many others have observed, it's hard to imagine who would pay for this thing. It looks OK, but it will be expensive to purchase and you'll probably be required to spend several thousand dollars more to get the thing to move. Harley's got lots of metal bits in the catalogue for those flush with cash. In the end this bike is more about style than go, but that's Harley-Davidson's stock-in-trade. I just don't happen to buy it. To be quite honest I hope nobody does. I too would like to see something really modern using the V-Rod engine out of these people at a real market price; then I might be tempted to part with some real American coin for some real American iron.

Default Who are you talking about? Facts and Data

"All the geniuses, including the super-fool, claimed that the Buell would never sell".. Well all we said was that Buell would sell more with a proper V-Twin. All of us HD critics love the unconventional non-Japanese or non-Italian great looks of the new Buells. It's the Engine that's the problem You are grasping at straws to find some bad predictions by the GMP. Meanwhile you and the other W's Weasels of the GPTB have quite a record of some very bad predictions. Do you really want to compare records with the GMP or JB (Burns)?

Wow. Looks like everybody here hates the thing.

I just wrote a check to my local dealer, in the off chance they actually produce it. I love it!

Good for you, I think it looks great. I bet it'll be a kick in the ass to ride.

I'd rather see H-D do something like this:

http://www.mertlawwill.com/street_tracker.htm

Mert Lawwill's Street Tracker strikes a nice balance between nostalgia and functionality, much like Ducati's SportClassics. I think it alludes to Harley's racing history more convincingly than the XR 1200.

Granted, most of the trick bits would never make it onto a mass-market bike, unless they priced it at eleventy billion USD; but, this thing is pretty tasty.

So I guess you've been forcing gas stations to take an extra two bucks a gallon every time you fill up, huh?

BTW, I wasn't aware that anybody but you was making a production out of predictions. And I'm still at a loss as to which of your tiresome and trite predictions has come to pass (aside from the obvious ones that no one else would bother to proclaim).

I haven't heard one Harley customer complain about what he gets for his money. I bet you never even rode one around the block. Maybe you should look at the prices of bikes again. Harleys aren't that much more.
