I'm sure people would be happy to call you Valentino and you wouldn't have to change a thing

What I would like to hear from the horses mouth so to speak (Sean and Pete), is how much faster this felt than the Japanese (and perhaps European) bikes capable of putting down a sub 10 second quarter mile. Certainly I've seen reports of the ZX10R, GSXR1000, Hayabusa and ZX12 turing in sub 10 second 1/4 miles in stock trim, though none of them had 8 second potential in street trim. Of course none had wheelie bars, slicks, or any other non-stock, non-road legal trim either. Could you spend 10K for a bike, and 3K for drag goodies and be just as fast?

Simple answer: No it did not feel any faster than those bikes after the first sixty feet. However, that first second of acceleration is awesome. The Destroyer hooks-up harder, has a bit more torque and about the same horsepower as a GSX-R 1000, but it's also pushing a bit more weight. However, those other bikes aren't legal in the AHDRA (all Harley) where this bike is intended to act as a turn-key racer.

As for who'd buy one.... Harley has already tripled their planned Destroyer production run and they still can't meet the demand from dealers.

That's a dog or cat noise, not a bird noise. :-p

There is no doubt that with the addition of a few hundred bucks of equipment, let alone thousands, most any liter class Japanese bike is as fast..or faster, for 1/3 the price. For example, my 2002 ZX9R with lowering links and straps ONLY (not even re-jetted, pipes, slicks, etc..) ran 9.90's@140MPH in full street trim. I have several videos with a ZX10R in the same trim as my ZX9R (except with a pipe) running 9.3's So no doubt with $3K in goodies, you'd be flying...and have plenty of cash left over.

If you weighed 135 lbs they'd be calling you at the eating disorder clinic.
