somehow i think if the Japanese had thought of making a 31k drag bike, it would go a little faster. Here i am bored today, let me just do a little research and see if i can find an R1 or something with a wheelie bar on it... (politically, u r one of the Purple People)

By the way, I apologize for calling you Hillary. Nobody should be subjected to such an insult.

OK, here's one frinstance:

AMA ProStar 1000 SuperSport requires Stock engine, Stock wheelbase, Stock rear wheel size, NO wheelie bar allowed—class record 9.1 @ 157 mph. It is NOT I repeat NOT a Harley...

Hey man, you can drool over this bike all you want it is cool I agree but saying it's some high performance beast is laughable.

Which jet plane? What bike? 0 to what?

I'm kidding. Just thought I'd throw that out before someone brings the F-16/bike quarter mile times up.

So, to recap: with a wheelie bar on any Japanese liter-bike, you are solidly into mid-8s and blowing this thing into the weeds on a bike you can ride to work and track days, too. Downside: you are not allowed in AHDRA.

Alone agaaaaain, naturaleeeeeeeeee...

Default turbines and pistons

A jet to a bike is like a race horse to a buffalo. You can ride both but one has an increased performance factor. A big one and buffalo riding isnt normal.

Yes. It is a completely illogical purchase for $31,000. I can buy a bike and a used truck to haul it to the track for that price.

Oranges and apples are both fruit. Harleys and Imports are both bikes. Both can be peeled, but I dont see people peeling apples to eat them everyday.

"inline4 vs. vtwin" I brought that up because the 600cc still gets under 10.

"$ for $ crap" You bet, I got a better bike for less that does more.

"too philosophical for inline 4 brains" sound like the elitist Harley drivel, "If you have to ask, you wouldnÂ’t understand". That means you cant quantify your judgment based on factual information.

Why is the machismo/manhood of sport riders always attacked by Harley riders? Are all sport riders sissies? Why do you feel like that? Are you so insecure that you must attack others?

Default legalities

A Harley can break the posted speed limit in any state.

Sport bikes are comfortable to my 6 foot frame and my wallet. Others agree.

I had a 2001 VFR that got 57 MPG on a road trip. Yes 57. I thought there was something wrong with the fuel gauge. Speed limits are set for safety and economy. My '99 900RR gets high 30s, better than my truck or wifeÂ’s car and any cager you have unless its a hybrid.

Storage for a sport bike is available for much less than the factory Harley storage and will hold just as much.

A bike with a top speed of 80 mph that does 0-75 in 3 seconds, has panniers and a relaxed riding position? Why would I pay an excessive amount for a Harley? I would rather purchase a used VTX1800F for less than $13K and have a better built bike.

The horizontally opposed engine is similar to airplane engines.
