If I remember right, Suzuki came out with the VX800 back in the late-90s and it sold like dirt in Nebraska. If they'd added the TLR engine, it probably wouldn't have sold any better. So, what's the big deal? If I want to sit in style I'll buy a Barcelona Chair; otherwise I’ll save my money. Harley already has a sport bike/café racer, it just doesn't have an engine; they call it a Buell.

The 3rd Rock's a what-zit and the Hammer's a thing-a-ma-jig, so I guess that's the going rate for who-knowswhat these days. If anyone out there wants to scratch their head for $16.5K, more power to 'em.

A move in the right direction. Enough? Don't think so, I saw an orange one today, and it does not look half bad, lets wait for a road test for a better idea of what it does. As far as price, HD gets away with just about anything as long as it has "the name" on it.

I hope Harley sells a bunch of these Street Rods. And I hope each and every one of them sold means one less Fat Boy or V-Rod on the street.

Agreed. Now, as for the 883, I would seriously consider one if they could get it to shed at least 50 pounds. 450 lbs dry seems like a reasonable goal.

Sorry for the confusion. I was just trying to be sarcastic. I'll take a Buell over this thing any day.

H-D fixed everything I disliked about my '02 V-Rod.
Count me in. |
