*gasp* But I thought that when you went to the Big4 dealer and bought a race replica you were getting the same thing they run on the track! The boys at the Burger Barn are gonna really cry now.

Default But they race they monty carlo- and mine won't do a buck-eighty - waaaaa!!!

Sorry to give you the wrong impression. I'm not looking for blueprints and motor secrets of a custom drag bike. I said that a story on the team/riders/bike-modifications would be an interesting story for MO to persue.

Plus I have never seen the specs for the V&H drag bike they are curently racing. While not a big follower of the drag race scene, I like reading about all types of race modified bikes.

And again congrats to them for wining.

Didn't Vance & Hines get Suzuki to produce cast-iron inner cases for the old 1100 GS series (T.S.C.C.)?

Too much nitro, or a stuck wastegate, and boom. Aluminum everywhere.

Much like BMW/Renault using all cast iron blocks for getting 1500 qualifying horsepower from F1 cars (when the formula called for turbocharged 1500cc engines). I think they were running 7 bar.

I had that on the screen yesterday when our corporate enviromental ginch and her EPA associate came in wanting to see my combustion analysis records for some of the boilers I run

I could tell they were not amused.

Default v-rod + buell

I think most of us would be more impressed if they threw the real vrod engine into a buell bike. they can call it the buell sportster II.
