Watch the movie, "Who's Jack Burton" is the tag line every time he say's his name.

My kids and I could almost recite that movie line for line.

Do you need to be" sent to the hell of people who are skinned alive? it's just that simple"

Would that be the magazine with one page of performace parts and 645 pages of chrome dice valve stem caps for the after market wheels? VWW

I was riding to work this morning and saw a middle-aged guy on a Sportster with the "bling-bling everything" accessories package. He was dressed head to toe in what appeared to be brand new HD leatherware (including chaps!) and a flat black half helmet. When I waved at him he looked like he was scared sh*tless to take his hand off of the bars.

He resembled the result of a high speed, subatomic collision between The Village People and my dentist.

I really do feel bad for the real Harley riders.

You could tell if he was a doctor 'cause he'd be saving lives with his loud pipes.

You think they make MD plates for bikes? Now that would be funny.

You summed up how I feel about the whole situation.

I have a Yamaha R1, but I have been thinking about getting an Electraglide or Roadstar Silverado for touring and keeping the R1 for sport riding and track days.

I say just ignore the sheep and ride what you like how you like it.

I am a White eighth generation Christian American who believes that Harley engineered and developed their fine products for people like me.

What rankles me more than anything else is about 45 percent of the components are made in Japan or elsewhere.

The carburetor: Keinhin; the starter: Hitachi; the brakes: Nissin; the insturments:Nippon Denso; the suspension: Showa.

To be sure these are first rate components but with the huge production numbers would it not be practical to ramp up production of these components in the U.S.A.?

Of course the factories churning out these components must hire only Americans to provide the labor..... with lineage similar to mine.

I long for the day when Harley can proudly boast of 100% American content!
