Talk about an article producing mixed emotions! On one hand I'm glad that Harley arrogance is being challenged, but on the other hand I have to agree with the earlier post that no one will benefit from this but the d@mn lawyers. So who do you side with here? The Motor Co or the blood sucking leeches?

Bandit oil consumption is the problem, I believe. Don't know about Carb problems except the usual EPA mandated way-too-lean-save-the-enviroment stock settings, I got bit by the VFR regulator bug twice on my '97, no fun, and no help from Honda either. I've got to respect Buell for stepping up with the shock re-call, It's like pulling teeth to get any of the other factorys to admit they ****ed up.

Spose you'll need the extra couple for spare parts

Now what in your little mind made you "spose" that?

A serious question. What does a roller bearing look like that is "starting to fail". I've never seen one. I've seen failed and good but never between. If that bearing was starting to fail, as you state, then you caught it maybe milliseconds before it self destructed. Were the rollers flatsided? Cage deformed? Interested, if you can give me an answer.

If I have to explain it to you, you just don't get it.

If this doesn't start a flame war, nothing will!
