It is a cool creation. What a piece of artwork and stepping outside the box. If someone wants to buy it and can afford it , power to them. What a coffee table piece.
Sure brought a lot of press to Dodge....and if they can recoop their money, they may continue to do more....and the more they do, the more they may work? Who knows.. A Dodge bike....American made...we will see. Would be cool to see if this bike would run at bonneville and what it may do, unfaired. Would love to hear it run........rex |

I'd most definatly donate more than $10. I'd just have to free up some time and get to SoCal to see the beast in person.

Mr. ALL CAPS is having a good week. First comes the news that scientists have found a way to wire a monkey's brain up to operate a mechanical device, and now Dodge has put up for sale the perfect vessel in which to esconse Mr. ALL CAPS brain tank. It is just as well that Dodge built just this single example, as I can think of no one else who would pilot one. VWW

How about setting up a fund with the AMA and take donations and have it on display at the AMA museum. It could tour the country so everyone would get a chance to see it.

The whole idea was flawed from the beginning. 4 wheels with a track dimension of about two feet??? Dumbest idea I ever heard of. I don't care if the body was designed to lean, it will never go around corners and would be totally scary unstable in a straight line...as evidenced by the only ever "test" ride in which it toppled over at crawing speed when it ran over a slight depression in the tarmac. What a joke!
Marketing hairbrain idea overpowers engineering maybe? Shows Dodge should stick to building trucks...Should rightly be a thorough embarrassment to Dodge! |

What's the odds Leno buys it?
It'll look good (I guess, we'll never see it unless Discovery Channel does a piece on his collection) sitting next to his Turbinator, or whatever the heck they call that gas turbine powered bike he has. As for carmakers building bikes, I'm waiting for BMW to slip a M5 motor to their bike shop.

That would be some coffee table to hold this beast.
BTW, Dodge is German owned, so wouldn't that make this a German bike?

i could see someone with too much money paying $50K for an example of what happens when engineers think with the wrong head. maybe a vegas casino. but half a mil? i think dodge should buy it from themselves - that would be a fitting conclusion to this corporate, uhm, exercise. remember, kids, it's not fit to ride but if it were it would go 300 mph (wasn't it 400 earlier?). vroom, vroom.
