I think it will go like this, the first few years will Be a D16RR for the super exclusive price well as all those Super high end bits on it, then perhaps when the twin finally is not competitive in SBK they will use it.Think about it, if they downgraded the brakes, susp, etc. to the lvl of a 999s they could sell this bike for 30-35k right now, I think if the demand is there, then the V4 will stay and become another staple of ducati, and I for one hope it does. Think about it, they went to all this trouble designing this engine and tool & dye for it, made it freaking Euro Spec 3 emmisions legal...do you really think they will make 300-400 and call it quits? While it may be true of the D16RR, I think we shall see a V4 at a more humane price withen 3-4 years, of course it wont be nearly as trick and it will prob make little less power, but jesus who needs 200hp+ at the crank on little liter bike.

Why is it that the styling of Ducati Superbikes, is getting worse.
That isn't exactly a work of art. I'd accept that from Honda, but Ducati? It might go like stink but it's freakin' ugly. |

Function Baby, this was all about Airflow, however compared to just about any other MotoGp it is a good looking lass. I love the styling as it is a pure offering to the gods of speed.

That's what I figured, nice house's in there. We used to ride dirtbikes up there when I was a kid, it was all gravel pits and fire roads then..I'm on the other side of 410 about half way between Bonney Lake and Buckley in Finlandia.

Ditto. Form follows function. The front end of the current GP6 looks like some sort of bizarre water dweller from 20,000 leagues under the sea. But it's clean and those shapes work well at 200mph in the air!
Rock On Ducati. |
