This is interesting.



1) Will they make enough to be able to race them in SBK (world, US, etc.)?

2) Now that the GP bike will be "based on" (backwards, really) on street legal version, will the GP bike no longer comply with the FIM requirement of being a "prototype" (like the original WCM four-stroke, based on an R1) and thus be illegal for MotoGP competition?

I'll bet they don't try to race them in SBK because Ducati's bread and butter is the Vtwin. Also racing it in SBK would dilute the product even further because you wouldn't be paying 65k for a MotoGp replica and who would pay 65k for a garden variety Superbike replica?



MotoGP is going to 800cc next year and this bike will remain a 1000 most likely.
