When I was first starting out I had this sh!tty job in Fort Lauderdale. The only perk was that it was next to a convenience store owned by some crazed loon with an unrecognizable accent, hideous body odor, a vicious temper and the absolutely largest selection of beer I have ever seen. Literally hundred of different varieties.

Oh, I was young and poor, but I had some damn fine beer.

...and some really crappy beer too. They weren't all winners. It kinda of made it more fun not knowing what you were gonna get.

I think I understand.. I dated a self-medicating professional dancer who drove a Fiat. Talk about personality. After that experience, I married a lawyer with a Camry. SOmetimes folks just want a sure thing...

"Folks who have never owned one just can't understand what we're saying here."

Dang if that doesn't sound like Harley riders too.

Directed at no one person in particular:

I have to say, I'm continually mystified by the overly aggressive version of brand loyalty some folks demonstrate. Personally, I can understand an attachment to a specific bike and I can accept (if not identify with) an attachment to a specific brand. What I can't understand is all of this ready-made vitriol for people who don't subscribe to your point of view. You can't like your bike without panning everyone else's? That's kind of juvenile and asinine. Not to point out the obvious but there are all manner of reasons subtle and otherwise why a person selects a particular bike... debating their strengths and weakness has merit -- trashing them to feel better about your own choices does not.

Actually, you are comparing the crank HP of the Ducati to the RWHP of the Buell... But nice try...

EXACTLT! You got it......and some of us woulda enjoyed the experience so much we would a found another similiar chick instead of going boring early. We're the European /harley/ buell guys. The fun generated by the excitement and unpredictability (personality) outweighs the pain in our teeny little minds.

Yeah, it's like jeez, all things two wheeled are cool. Bicycles (with motors), mopeds, old 350 Hondas, new Harleys, Ducatis, etc.

Seems lots of folks have an axe to grind. Whatever.

Right now it's out to the garage to gas up the Huffy. Runs the same mix as my ratty CR500.
