longride you are wrong 5 is 66% larger than 3 i.e.

(5-3)/3 *100 = 66%

Yeah, but what it says is that 3% of the 97% lived with helmets vs 5% of the 3% without helmets...You can't just compare the 3% vs the 5% without looking at the bigger question: 3% of what number vs 5% of what number...There were far more helmeted riders in this study than non helmeted, so the 3% looks much smaller in that context than the 5% of 3% number...

Yeah, for someone who's constantly *****ing about other people costing him money, he's been responsible for at least two insurance claims that we know of.



My total motor vehicle accidents to date: zero.

Here's a statistic. Nearly 100% of motorcycles get better gas mileage than cars! Maybe there is somebody out there trying to scare the cr@# out of people so they won't opt for more fuel efficient transportation. What was Exxon's profit last year?



Here's another statistic. Ninety percent of motocyclists killed never took a motorcycle safety course, according to the MSF. Being stupid hurts!
