Bubba is awesome! It's good to see someone break the stereotype.

It's sad that people feel obliged to point out that he's an "African American." What's the fact that he's a black American got to do with his riding?

He's still a youngster, right? They're going to have to find some kid working on the Nick set to do this gig. Can't think of any talented black actors under the age of 30 right now. It's a good thing, though. Bubba is a find and more young black kids out to look at him as a roll model of what can be done when given encouragement. I'm waiting for him to try roadracing next. Montez (Jordan's friend and employee in AMA) is a fine guy but will not make it to the elite. Bubba can because of sheer talent and drive.

This is his second year on 250s and I hope he does better - it's a really competitive class.

As long as differences are identified there will be prejudice. Mixed race children will make it all go away.

He IS doing better. Won the first two world supercross events over Ricky. Won the first AMA supercrosss over Ricky. Took third after crashing and having to work his way from dead last back through the pack in the second AMA supercross.

We've got a real series this year!

Should mention Chad Reed is right in there as well.

Couldn't care less about any of these guys origins. It's great to see real competition this year in supercross.

I sent the post in, and I admit to wondering whether to point that out or not. It IS significant. Where is the major movie about Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath, or Bob Hannah?

I didn't choose to make this movie, Hollywood did.

FWIW, I would watch ANY movie about motorcycles, motorcycle racing, or motorcycle racing stars.
